Cool Cost Lab helps room-AC shoppers compare capacity, running cost and inverter payback without pretending a short form can replace local expertise or a utility bill.
Why ranges?
Rooms with the same floor area can have different windows, insulation, ceiling heights, occupancy and climate exposure. A range is a more honest starting point than a precise-looking single number.
Editorial method
We publish the assumptions, formulas, worked examples, primary-source links and review date behind each market edition. Product-label observations are kept separate from official guidance, and corrections are checked before the calculator or copy changes.
No paid rankings
Cool Cost Lab does not accept payment to rank a brand or model. Brand names appear only as examples of commonly sold label classes; they are not endorsements, affiliate links or purchase recommendations.
What we exclude
Commercial spaces, multiple rooms and central systems need professional load calculations. This site provides no wiring, installation, safety or health instructions.
